I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask... but where is teh pitot tube heat switch on the 777 panel? Some of the wording is really small and fuzzy... is there any kind of reference that enumerates the switches and their location?

I stumbled on your wonderful aircraft after some trouble with the default 777 (my IAS froze, i'm assuming due to ice) - thus the question about pitot tube heat :-p

unclemoki, 7.18.07 Great panel & great machine! Has anyone else have trouble getting the 'heading' hold button to engage ? Other a/p functions seem ok. Appreciate any feedback forthcoming on this(my) problem. Thanks.

Sorry for the late response...been a bit busy over here. The FMC operates a lot like the FMC on the 717 or A320, with the extra buttons above the waypoint lines. On the right hand side, you have your OBS selectors designated by L CRS and R CRS. On the left is the back course button labeled APPR, deceptive yet accurate. Above that is NAV 1. Just 'push' the button to the left of NAV 1 with the scoll arrow going positive and you can select NAV 2 or FPLN (flightplan or your FMC track). We'll try to get an autopilot cheat sheet out to you soon in addition to a fuel planner, and if we get to work, performance docs for a separate download.

btw...we'd be cheating you out of the full brilliance of the 777 forward panel if we didn't include all of the buttons, albeit operational or not. Most are however and with a little practice (heck, airline pilots train for quite a while before stepping into a cockpit) we believe that everyone will be able to fly this bird without issue :D

Again, thanks for everyone's support.

Now whats with everyone leaving the APU on in screenshots...the APU scoop is operational...so we can tell :D

Hey Guys,

Just had a quick question... When flying the 777 at altitude I can't get it to stick to the VNAV course, is there a certain trick. I am guessing there is something different with the FMC that I need to manipulate. Planning on flying this awesome plane from San Francisco to France for the fly-in at the .Org this weekend. Thanks for your help.

Gorgeous! Thanks. Is there a good source of POH documentation for this aircraft, specifically fuel planning and V-speed references?

Nice plane, but I think the panel still needs a bit of work. Auto-pilot buttons are unclear and there are redundant buttons on the upper-right. (I know they reflect the layout of the real panel, but it's poor user interface design to have redundant elements.) But keep up the good work.
