I totally understand. I was merely asking under the assumption that the scenery to begin with was freeware like the majority of the X-Plane community’s. Please disregard my request. If I purchase the MSFS scenery in the future)

We can’t post or distribute the conversions in any way without first confirming that you have purchased the MSFS source scenery. Even then it’s technically a copyright infringement, and thus we’d rather not get involved. As long as you obtain the scenery through legal means the conversion is fairly straightforward and we can attempt to walk you through it if we’re having difficulty, but we’re not going to take food off the MSFS scenery developers’ tables.

Unfortunately, donationware is not an option at this point. The three of us have already put over a year’s worth of labor into the plane, and quite frankly we would be severely undercutting the X-Plane add-on market were we to release the 777 as donationware or low-cost payware. X-Plane’s long-term viability as a successful sim platform depends on its ability to sustain a quality third-party payware add-on market, and we feel that the 777 will be part of the forefront of that market upon its release. We outlined our reasons fairly rationally in our post entitled “Compromises” which you have already read. As we stated then, we’re not out to rob the community, and we will do our best to ensure that the bird is available at a reasonable price point for the features included.

First off, love the video. And hardly can’t wait for it to come out. But Recently I discovered an article in her called “compromises” that says it will be payware? Is there any reason why It couldn’t be donateware? Any way you guys kind of sealed off the people who can’t pay to get this beautiful acf from the rest.
